Karla Otto is looking for a Creative Strategist who will work from the Milan office as part of the global Digital and Creative Strategy team (minimum 5 years experience). This role will work in close collaboration with the New Business team and be required to build strong relationships across multiple departments and international offices in order to to leverage all Karla Otto divisions (Strategy / Creative / Talent / Experiences / Communications) for luxury clients in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle space.

The right candidate will be a creative thinker with a sharp visual eye who has strong copywriting skills and strong experience creating pitch decks. They will never be short on ideas and enjoy working collaboratively across various teams and functions. They will be skilled in creating impressive pitch decks in response to client briefs and RFPs and enjoy packaging and selling in their ideas, verbally and visually. With the relevant teams, they will also be required to implement and execute certain projects to a very high standard, delivering brilliant work that generates value for both our clients and the agency.

The successful candidate will be a well-rounded online marketer who is both creative and analytical. A social media native; understanding the latest viral TikTok challenge and trending themes on Instagram and Pinterest, to this month’s most searched YouTube tutorials. A strong passion for / knowledge of current digital trends is essential, as well as an interest in fashion, the wider cultural/social landscape and complementary verticals (i.e. music, art etc.) too as they be tasked with creating concepts and branded content for various platforms to programming off-line spaces to drive buzz online.

RESPONSABILITES, MISSIONS, TASKS

Client Focus

  • Actively contribute to global team brainstorms and work on 360° pitch documents across various Karla Otto divisions to deliver exciting omni-channel strategies for a range of clients
  • Successfully and effectively articulate concepts in visual, written and verbal form
  • Develop brand appropriate strategies; including the targeting and positioning of brand(s), channel selection and syndication/ engagement tactics
  • Concept ideas (whether editorial, video, social, experiential) that execute a brand’s vision and will successfully deliver it to their target audiences
  • Support if required on developing tone of voice for a variety of clients’ social media channels (being able to switch from one tone of voice to another in a heartbeat)
  • Work with the talent team to commission and manage fresh and exciting talent (including digital influencers) to execute branded content
  • Remain ahead of all news at the intersection of fashion, content and tech in order to advise clients on new opportunities and emerging strategies
  • Keep up to speed with client competitors and current events relevant to the digital and luxury space
  • Support on day to day client management including direct client contact, demonstrating maturity, professionalism and client awareness
  • Create opportunities and work to amplify branded content and campaigns created by Karla Otto across digital networks, through partnerships and syndication
  • Execute and manage branded content for multiple platforms from idea to campaign deliverables, from presale to post
  • Be comfortable using various social media and influencer digital reporting and monitoring tools and trouble-shooting when needed
  • Work with team to ensure appropriate qualitative and quantitative research is conducted to demonstrate value of programmes and review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results and provide key future learnings
  • Support and mentor junior team members including helping on administrative tasks where needed
  • Support Director, Senior Vice President and other senior team members, where required
  • Oversee administrative tasks

 

Agency Focus

  • Support implementation of the agency’s own mission statement
  • Be the go-to person for questions pertaining to creative strategy and digital for Karla Otto offices
  • Liaise closely with internal and external teams, proactively managing workflow and resolving issues, reacting to client and consumer feedback etc.
  • Support teams across the agency’s various international locations within a creative and copywriting capacity when needed

 

KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum 5 years experience working in social media and strategy. Past client-facing experience is an advantage
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)
  • Passionate about current cultural trends, social media, influencer marketing and storytelling
  • A strong understanding and ongoing interest in social media platforms and their evolution
  • High level execution skills and meticulous attention to detail, both aesthetically and organisationally
  • A sharp visual eye and proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Keynote and PowerPoint (graphic design experience would be a significant advantage)
  • Solution-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude and flexible working style (being able to adapt to client needs and different ways of working)
  • A creative, innovative thinker with an eagerness to learn new things
  • A real team player who will excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and work to stringent deadlines
  • Proven ability to implement innovative and impactful multi-channel digital content strategies
  • Experienced planner and organiser who is experienced in overseeing and driving the on-going management of digital content and strategies
