Chief Operating Officer

Super Smalls, a digital-first play-centric kid’s brand is seeking a Chief Operating Officer with deep experience in e-commerce, an entrepreneurial spirit, luxury product sensibility, excellent analytical skills and the ability to lead all operational aspects of a rapidly growing consumer products brand. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, passionate, performance-driven individual with start-up experience and a strategic mindset. The successful candidate will take responsibility for daily and tactical operations and be a strategic leader within the organization. 

The COO is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). 

Responsibilities: 

• Work with the CEO and executive team to set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
• Work with the CEO and executive team on setting the near-, medium-, and long-term strategic vision of the firm 
• Work collaboratively to develop and/or improve systems, processes, controls, and procedures  that improve the overall efficiency of the firm  
• Work cross-functionally with department heads and take responsibility to facilitate effective execution and make sure nothing ‘falls through the cracks’ 
• Oversee strategies and execution in B2B & B2C supply chain operations, logistics, fulfillment, and customer experience 
• Evaluate and improve standards for supply chain, vendor management, and overall business operations to minimize costs and maximize margins 
• Identify hiring needs and lead recruiting processes 
• Establish and encourage policies that promote company culture and vision 
• Lead relationship with outside counsel for employee onboarding and offboarding
• Maintain and update operational technologies on a regular basis for all participating departments
