About the Role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced, organized, detail-oriented self-starter with a great attitude. This role will act as the right hand person and manage and support the daily workflow of the Executive Vice President, Global Sourcing at Gap Inc. This person should be able to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the EVP. The candidate must be enthusiastic, flexible, well-organized and a team player with strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills. Should have the ability to operate well in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. Must possess the ability to switch priorities in a given moment, while maintaining grace under pressure.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted partner, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all situations.
  • Partner and collaborate with peers and direct reports of the EVP to manage cross-functional initiatives from conception to completion.
  • Organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities with the ability to meet critical deadlines. Providing awareness of critical issues confronting projects/ initiatives and of the action plans for addressing those issues.
  • Effective time management, advanced planning and preparation of leadership team meetings, including but not limited to global townhall meetings, off- sites, vendor webinars, one-on-one meetings, etc.
  • Project management as needed. Coordination/orchestration of projects or initiatives directly involving the senior stakeholders inside and outside the company.
  • Event management - organization of quarterly meetings, company events, off-sites, webinars, summits etc.
  • Effectively interface with employees within Gap Inc., senior executives in the Corporate office and fashion brands and the executive network outside the company
  • Creation and edition of document (word, excel, powerpoint) and visualization materials to support the EVP across the full spectrum of his work
  • Use initiative and judgment within established guidelines.
  • Continuously identify ways to improve the operational workflow and drive process improvements.
  • Manage all executive correspondence; directing or responding to customer, vendor and employee communication.
  • Expense management duties.
  • Oversee department budget.
  • Global travel arrangement as needed.
  • Other administrative duties as requested.


Who You Are

  • MBA preferred, work experience preferably in Retail +/or fast-paced industry.

  • Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions; Risk Management: Ability to think ahead and catch problems before they arise.
  • Organizational Savvy: Able to build constructive and effective relationships and use them to maneuver through complex situations.
  • Influencing & Negotiation: Can present ideas that lead others to action, demonstrate strong listening, written and oral communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, organization and process.
  • High level of confidentiality, discernment and judgment.
  • Ability to be flexible in response to changing priorities and needs.
  • Staying abreast of new technologies, passionate about new tools and new way of working. Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT and any other digital tools)
