Our Partner Consultancy teams are high performing teams, creating new and innovative ways to connect people and fashion through advertising to help Zalando become the Starting Point for Fashion. It fulfills this purpose both by consulting and enabling our Brand Partners in terms of opportunities and best practices and by providing marketing solutions and insights. Progress is measured in terms of client satisfaction and revenue generated. The Partner Consultant is the key contact for the ZMS (Zalando Marketing Services) client and mainly responsible for the marketing revenue growth of our partners.

Are you able to motivate, inspire and grow a highly skilled team with a proven success track record? At ZMS, we are looking for a Head of Sales in our Partner Consultancy unit. You will be the spearhead in designing and executing our ambitious targets, driving and selling our marketing services across our partners base. Taking the partners point of view in shaping the Zalando platform of the future, building together with them outstanding success growth stories powered by marketing.

As part of the ZMS Sales and Marketing organisation, you will lead a new sales unit focused on driving commercial and brand growth for strategic brands using our marketing solutions. As an ideal candidate, you will bring strong stakeholder management skills, experience in partner management, sales pipeline management, competitive selling and developing new commercialization strategies to steer advertising revenue growth. You will establish and nurture a high-performance sales culture and will be responsible for delivering on our high paced and ambitious Global Advertising revenue targets. You will report into the Director of Partner Consultancy.

  • Min 10 years professional experience, min. 5 years of leadership experience including leading leaders. Experience in the industry or in sales and marketing roles is a plus.
  • Masters Degree (Business, Marketing, Science, Economics); MBA is desirable.
  • Fluency in English spoken & written; any other European language is an advantage.
  • Successful track record of complex sales engagements end2end across industries and markets.
  • Building and scaling profitable business units and teams in a fast paced ecosystem.
  • Has designed and successfully led relevant sales/business transformation initiatives in complex multinational matrix organisations.
  • Passion for marketing and strong understanding of e-commerce and the tech industry (fashion would be a plus) with a strong business acumen/knowledge.
  • Strong customer orientation, ability to successfully engage on senior leadership level internally and externally across multiple stakeholder functions.
  • Outstanding cross-border thinking. Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, persuasion, and influence.
  • Proven examples of success supporting tech and product departments in adapting and evolving partner services or solutions.
  • Profound focus and ability to coach and develop talents
  • Good organisational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
