Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Position Summary: The Ecommerce Merchandising, Assistant Manager will manage the full product lifecycle of seasonal collection launches across various ecom platforms by participating in and driving ecommerce assortment and inventory planning activities in close partnership with SEA Country and APAC Merchandising teams. S/he will take ownership in product assortment, category mix, inventory depth planning for the SEA ecom businesses to achieve business objectives and sales target. Key Responsibilities Include:
* Own the end to end processes related to online product strategy planning and execution to drive performance and measure success.
* Conduct regular online product analysis to provide market/platform-level insights to Country and Corporate Merchandising teams to make sure the results are reflected in planning, buy and allocations
* Advocate for the needs of our SEA digital customers, as relevant to each ecommerce platform/site as well as competitive dynamic, and serve as the go-to person for product performance and market insights
* Coordinate with APAC/Country Merch and ecom operation teams on new product / collection launches. Ensure that the site catalogue is up to date with the latest released products, best-selling items, and follows global and regional marketing/product calendars.
* Manage data flow related to item master, digital assets, and inventory against the planned assortment and support product go-live process in partnership with ecommerce enabler vendor and/or internal ecom Trading/Operations teams.
* Analyze merchandising performance metrics on an on-going basis to identify opportunities to optimize product offering and elevate brand experience
* Partner with marketing and operation team to establish sales plans and forecasts using market, consumer, and competitive insights and internal analysis
* Provide merch-driven commercial and/or brand storytelling requirements to ecom marketing team in order to develop effective and impactful marketing campaign plans
* Engage with various ecom teams daily to evaluate top/bottom selling styles and refine plans as needed for site and marketing/communication campaigns and drive commercial objectives
* Support the ecom ops teams as needed when performing overall site QA to ensure all offers, landing pages, product grids and copy are accurate
* Partner with SEA ecom and APAC Digital Commerce & Operations Teams to develop new business / commercial plans and relevant assortment strategies

Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in e-commerce within a merchandising role
* Great understanding of e-commerce site operation, digital trends, and ecom consumer purchasing behavior across Southeast Asia, particular for Singapore and Malaysia
* Advanced, detailed, hands-on understanding of ecommerce merchandising processes, including product lifecycle management (plan/buying/allocation/replenishment/EOS management) and product go-live process (product data/asset handling)
* Good to general understanding of digital/performance marketing, online marketplace models, fulfillment/logistics, customer service, content marketing
* Excellent communicator (verbal & written)
* Strong analytical skills to perform deep-dive analysis and reporting, including but not limited to sales trend and product performances
* English fluency/advance knowledge is a must; additional language skills (Mandarin, Malay) highly valued
* Detail-oriented; proactive attitude; business ownership and ability to work independently to drive operational excellence and business objective
* Retail experience in luxury category or apparel is a plus
* Advanced MS Excel, PPT skills required
