Footwear Designer Assistant (Women's)

As a member of the Charles & Keith shoe design team, we are looking for someone with vision and enthusiastic creativity. Someone who is brimming with passion, know-how, fresh ideas and ready to contribute to our collections.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior designer on inspiring and innovative designs that will be sketched up and put into development
• Carry out visual inspiration research based on creative concept and brief of the season
• Produce initial sketches or sketch modifications, mockups and CAD drawings under the direction of Senior Designer
• Assist in managing multiple seasons at different stages of development
• Updating visual overviews during the seasons and ensuring these are communicated to relevant departments
• Support fitting sessions and ensure the modifications are reflected in the final spec sheets
• Liaise with development team to research and source materials, trimmings and other components

Your Talent

• Preferably 2 years of experience in a similar role with product development knowledge
• Minimum diploma in footwear or fashion design 
• Solid working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator 
• Basic knowledge of MS Office applications
• Positive attitude and a collaborative team-spirited approach
• Strong time management and organisational skill
• Great organisation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with different departments, keep within tight deadlines and manage expectations
• Exceptional design aesthetics and a curious mindset
• Must provide digital portfolio of work
• Available to begin in August / September
