Job Details

Shopify Ecosystem is a team that helps create a community of partners and products which enable and amplify our merchants' businesses. The Operations team in Ecosystem is a cross-functional team linking together Shopify's ecosystem marketplaces and ensuring that the day to day and future operations support the growth of the product and new markets. We do this through deeply understanding supply, demand, quality, and trust, while looking at different scenarios and potential outcomes from an operational perspective to help inform our product teams on success.

As an Business Analyst on this team you'll help the Core Operations and Optimization team with identifying areas of improvement, service level analysis, predictor trends, correlations to financial impact, risk analysis, report building, process improvements, and automation opportunities. Using a combination of business acumen, mathematics, and data analytics, you'll work directly with leadership, workforce planning, operational teams, and many others to help map out, iterate, and implement solutions to help our operations improve.

You'll love this opportunity if you have a great sense of humour and enjoy a high-trust environment with spirited debate. Your thirst for knowledge is insatiable - you're naturally curious and you understand that learning is a lifelong pursuit. You thrive in an environment with high levels of autonomy and flexibility, and you navigate well within a quickly changing and often ambiguous environment.

  • Working with our data team to develop dashboard for day to day monitoring and threshold alerts for leadership.
  • Understanding, developing, and reporting on the health of our operations through deep and visual data storytelling that goes beyond dashboard creations.
