OVERVIEW:


We are looking for a university student with a passion for HR to join the People Team for a summer internship.   You will spend 10 weeks with the People Team which will include working with our People Partners, Talent, Pay & Perks, and Performance Teams. These teams work together to create and maintain our inclusive Gymshark culture, and always keep it top of mind as they navigate relationships with employees for the betterment of the business. Our internship role will also allow you to interact with the other functions of the business.

As this role will be involved in a mix of responsibilities, it will give the successful candidate an opportunity to learn and develop their skills in a range of HR activities. This includes supporting the end-to-end employee lifecycle, helping create and develop employee engagement initiatives and gain insight into organizational change programs.  

You will also get an opportunity to gain experience in our busy and vibrant Talent team, to gain exposure to many aspects of talent such as Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding and Talent Marketing to help shape understanding of the impact of the talent function on an organization.

Please note t his is a hybrid role based in our Denver, CO office. All candidates must be local or willing to relocate without company assistance. You must also be authorized to work in the United States .

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

People Partners

  • Observe People Partners appropriately handle employee relations concerns
  • Support the People Operations Associate with the coordination and communication of any employee engagement initiatives
  • Observe feedback from key stakeholders on any change programs
  • Provide ad hoc administration support as and when required
  • Support People Operations Associate with the pre-boarding process for new starters, prepare and track employment documentation

Talent

  • Assist in the recruitment process by helping to create job postings, tracking and screening applicants, and learning how to interview candidates
  • Maintenance of the Talent systems : such as the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and automated video interview platform
  • Support the Talent Team to provide a premium hiring manager and candidate experience, make suggestions for how we can evolve
  • Assist with the hiring manager systems training and ongoing support
  • Support with ad - hoc project work, such as employer branding and the Student Internship Program.  
  • Coordinate Talent events that promote opportunities to students and graduates to drive awareness and position GS as an employer of choice
  • Organize social events for Gymshark Interns to build an engaged community, gather feedback and improve

Pay and Perks

  • Assist Pay & Perks Manager with the grading and salary benchmarking of job descriptions
  • Help facilitate benefits presentations to new starters
  • Collaborate with Pay & Perks Team to determine wellbeing strategy

Performance

  • Assist the Performance Team with new hire onboarding process
  • Assist the Performance Team with organizing and delivering training

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Must be a current student working towards a degree or emphasis in an HR related field
  • You have a passion for supporting and developing people and an understanding of how happy employees relate to business success
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are of a curious nature and have a creative mindset
  • Thrives working in a team environment and is a strong team player but also can work autonomously
  • Available for a full time 10-week internship starting June, 6 th 2022

This internship offers an hourly rate of $15/hr up to 40 hours per week
