Currently, we are on the lookout for a  Head Account Manager to join our exciting and dynamic Ounass marketplace team. The role requires both, immense luxury fashion knowledge, building strong relationship and strategically managing the Account Management team and Accounts

The Head Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Marketplace Account Management departments goals and vision based on the business strategy and oversee a team of Account Managers. The Head Account Manager is also responsible for managing, optimizing, and growing the sales and operational performance of our vendors.

Strategic Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage the Account Management team and Accounts, proactively implementing measures to drive the business and maximize key vendors potential.
  • Anticipate industry challenges and propose solutions, define action-plans on a short-medium term basis to assure budget targets are met
  • Leverage established relationships to provide support in the building new prospects and growth of Ounass marketplace concept

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partnering with the Head of Marketplace in developing and managing the AM team’s strategy and KPI’s based on business strategy and supporting the team in achieving the set goals and KPI’s
  • Implementing specific commercial agreements for top boutiques to create additional revenue and monitor them along with the AM’s & BD
  • Building strong long-term partnerships with the vendors and suppliers, while being strategic and understanding both the vendors and business needs.
  • Developing and implementing business action plans to enhance sales for each product category and partner tier segment, ensuring partners operational SLA's, monitoring profitability and engaging consumers
  • Defining forecast with AM team and managing key business metrics for the vendors
  • Coordinate vendor’s strategy and key accounts performance review, monitor the execution with account managers, help the account team to face challenges and manage vendor’s expectation
  • You will establish, analyze indicators with Account Management, Commercial Planning & Pricing, Partner Service, Finance and Legal to ensure that expectations are met
  • You understand the industry and the territory specificities, monitor other channels of sales
  • Ensuring excellent service and support is given to our vendors, working closely with Partner Services team, Production, Finance, and Operations to drive all service KPI’s and ensure business needs are met
  • Supporting the Business Development Manager with signed brands’ onboarding process and monitoring the road to catalogue process with the team to ensure our partners get the required support to achieve fastest go-to-market times
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on commercial and operational performance of the vendors on a weekly basis to ensure profitability, service levels, vendor compliance and customer satisfaction meet contractually agreed standards and sharing the key findings with the Account Managers and the wider team
  • Analyzing sales data to identify opportunities and forecast future performance
  • Liaising with the Planning team for performance analysis and highlight opportunities and weaknesses
  • Encouraging and facilitating vendors’ participations in promotions and onsite/offsite marketing opportunities on Ounass Marketplace Platforms
  • Work closely with Product team, Account Manager and Partner Service team lead to provide technical solutions to high-value partners
  • Working in close collaboration with Business Development and other departments in execution of agreed/to be developed strategies for our vendors/boutiques
  • Maintaining positive work atmosphere with collaborative and “make things done & growth” mindset to maintain great relationship with vendors

People Management Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing and developing the Account Managers and other junior members by providing real time guidelines and support
  • A growth mindset and a strong desire to continuously improve your skillset and your teams
  • Supporting the team in achieving and surpassing their set goals and targets
  • Optimizing team structure, team hiring, training needs, and building career roadmap with People & Culture team
  • Leading by example and being a strong advocate of the business area and the company both internally and externally

Education/Certification and Continued Education

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in Business/ Management/ Marketing

Years of Experience

  • 10 + years of experience in a similar role within a high volume, high quality, fast paced marketplace environment
  • Experiment in retail/ Technology/ e-commerce organization with a marketplace function
  • Experience in leading a high-performance sales team in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to lead, coach and motivate a team, leading them to achieve their goals
  • The ability to leverage data to inform coaching, feedback, and develop conversations
  • A collaborative mindset to proactively work with both your peers and cross-functional teams to make our people, our partners and Ounass stronger.
  • Strong understanding of retail/ B2B ecommerce KPI’s
  • Outstanding skills in sales/negotiation techniques and strong analytical ability
  • An understanding of how to build teams and culture considering recruitment, people development and coaching
  • Must be well organized and proactive, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at a fast pace
  • Excellent sense of prioritization and timing
