Every year, billions of items are produced globally but are never sold. Clothing goes unworn and often ends up in landfills. This is a huge waste of creative energy, labor, natural resources and investment. Otrium is changing fashion from the inside out: we are an online fashion outlet marketplace and we tech-enable designer brands to find an owner for every item they produce.

Our global business

Founded in Amsterdam and headquartered in the cloud, Otrium also has hubs in New York and London. As a digital-first company, we work around the globe and don’t need to limit our HQ to one location or a single hub. We want to ensure our O-team can work in a way that best fits their needs, whether that’s remote-first, hub-first, or hybrid (50/50).

Your impact

Successful expansion is one of the key strategic ambitions of Otrium. It is the next step in the highly ambitious growth trajectory Otrium has had since its start in 2016. You will be the go-to person for all commercial strategic decisions needed to ensure success. You will work with Otrium senior management and the Sales Operations and Commercial Strategy team which is the strategic heart of the commercial organization.

As we continue to scale Otrium globally, we are looking for sharp minds that can help us further shape Otrium. We are looking for an experienced senior leader for the commercial strategy team. 

Your excellent financial and analytical skills enable you to craft creative strategic solutions for Otrium, ranging from assessing complex deals with brands to designing and developing new business models or launching and scaling new geographies.

Your responsibilities

  • The ideal candidate will partner closely with sales and operational leaders to gather best practices, conduct analysis and ultimately determine how to apply these learnings at scale to accelerate our Go-to-Market strategy. 
  • You will dive deep into brand partner segments and propose innovative solutions to support Otrium’s business growth objectives. 
  • The role will also be responsible for defining and understanding the effectiveness and performance of our partnerships team, while working across the organization to ensure critical foundational elements like playbooks are both in place and evolving to support the changing needs of the business. 
  • The ideal candidate will drive strategic programs, process improvement work streams and tooling as needed, as well as help  to define metrics and build brand adoption and product prioritization models. 
  • This position will also lead sales strategy and transformation projects across the broader organization as required.

About you

  • 5-7 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting, private equity or strategy development for a corporate or scale-up. 
  • Strong analytical and financial skills paired with proven excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Team player and a stakeholder manager, but also a self-starter and able to form independent views
  • Strong data-driven decision-making capability and can bring a metrics, data and performance driven approach to Otrium
  • Experience working with field sales teams and understanding of sales funnels and incentives
  • Display affinity for technology and/or, creative industries (i.e. fashion)
  • Great communicator, able to translate data into insights and meaningful actions
  • Ability to manage and coach junior colleagues
  • MBA preferred but not required
