JOB PURPOSE

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Experience within a luxury brand is ideal but not essential, also open to a retail technical background. 
  • Understanding of production methods, production cycle and garment construction 
  • Knowledge of global CHW safety requirements and legislation  
  • Good understanding of Grading, pattern cutting, pattern adaptation, grading and garment specifications 
  • Highly organised and driven by processes 
  • Must have excellent communication skill, self-motivated, attention to detail, strong team player is crucial  
  • Flexible adapting to changing trends of business and/or ad hoc projects 
  • IT skills -Ms office( Word, Excel, etc ), MS Outlook.  Knowledge of PLM, Teams is ideal but not essential 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support end to end process from sketch launch to delivery in terms of quality, fit, grading and construction  
  • Support  Design and product development team to develop the initial technical specification packs to enable suppliers to proceed with proto sampling. 
  • Risk assessment of all product for Safety/ global legislations/ fabric/trim suitability in relation to construction and functionality. 
  • Measuring garments and entering fit comments and technical specifications into the PLM system. 
  • Responsible for the fitting product on model/mannequin, and providing clear guidance to the vendors how to carry out required alteration 
  • Management of garment testing process with external test houses during development to advise care label/disclaimers and Resolution of test failures  
  • Support team and vendors in block development and ensuring correct blocks are used throughout. 
  • Creation and updating garment construction and standards manuals 
  • Monitor returns from stores, Hub failures, and sales feedback. Establish reasons for returns and implement lessons learnt to prevent re-occurring issues.
