JOB SUMMARY
The Trade Compliance Specialist primary responsibility is to facilitate effective execution of compliant import/export activities within the global supply chain. This position will interface primarily with US & CA customs offices, customs brokers and external partners, and will collaborate with internal business groups on all matters relevant to customs and trade related import and export activities.

Tech/Systems: SAP; PLM; Microsoft Office Excel

The Trade Compliance Specialist primary responsibility is to facilitate effective execution of compliant import/export activities within the global supply chain. JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Classification of textile, apparel, footwear & accessory merchandise and non-merchandise for North America primarily, and global destinations as required; maintain supporting documentation
- Manage requests for CBP Binding Rulings
- Provide guidance to product development and production teams on tariff classification, duty engineering and other strategic initiatives related to global trade
- Manage and resolve customs entry issues with customs brokers
- Ensure regulatory compliance relevant to Valuation, FTA programs, First Sale, GSP, OPA and other related government agencies
- Collaborate with corporate global regions as well as Legal, Product Development, Production, Logistics, Tax, Construction and other internal departments on trade and regulatory compliance matters
- Prepare and manage duty drawback claims; maintain reporting
- Manage Carnet process for international movement of samples, supporting PR and Creative Asset teams
- Assist in the maintenance of internal import/export processes, procedures and controls; upgrade and/or improve upon internal policies and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory controls
- Provide support for internal or Customs related audits or other project related work
- Stay informed of trade laws and customs regulations as well as global standards
