(Junior) Process Manager - Article Lifecycle Management

Zalando Direct is one of Zalando’s most exciting business units as it is focused on building the Zalando marketplace, a key component of Zalando’s Platform strategy. As a Junior Process Excellence Manager in the Onboarding Operations team, you will help us improve our business processes and lay the foundation for our future growth. In detail, you will design, test, implement and control the processes of the teams part of Onboarding Operations. You will work closely with expert members of each team to develop the best solutions and in some cases work with the Tech teams to formulate changes to our existing tools.

  • Challenge the status quo and seek improvement opportunities: identify critical bottlenecks and take data driven decisions to solve them.
  • Monitor the efficiency of our existing and new processes, analyze performance trends and support decision-making with spot-on analysis and deep dives to drive impact.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders such as Operations Performance Analytics, Product, Tech, Partner Facing Teams, Integrators and Vendors.
  • Support, train and provide documentation to the Onboarding Operations colleagues on tools and processes.
  • Be the first point of contact for our Zalando Direct colleagues when it comes to Onboarding Operations processes and tools.

  • Bachelor/Masters degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics.
  • 2+ years of work experience in process management, process improvement/redesign, or a similar position requiring a high level of problem-solving skills combined with the ability to drive projects independently, ideally in e-commerce, retail or manufacturing.
  • Experience and knowledge of Business Process Modelling tools (i.e. Signavio, Visio, ARIS)
  • Industry certifications on Six Sigma, Lean Management, and Agile methodologies would be beneficial.
  • Comfortable with numbers, you use data to identify root causes, understand problems and build strong arguments to convince others.
