Finance Assistant Accountant - Nordics

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring correct, accurate, and timely ac-counts for HB entities. The objective is to ensure entities are closed as per HB month end processes and local rules and guidelines respected.

What you can expect:
• Month-end closing tasks e.g., Sales settlements, inventory valuation (inc. stock movement, scrapping etc), reconciliation of balance sheets, Bank Accounts, etc.
• Booking of various accounting journals daily/monthly
• Posting and reconciling tax entries
• Monthly accruals for general expenses & Retail and Outlet Stores
• Responsible for external reporting: (Statistical reports, local tax authorities, list is not ex-haustive and can vary)
• Supporting in internal reporting (Example: Core hours, Store PL's, Month cost center and marketing reports, Daily sales reporting, list is not exhaustive and can vary)
• Participate and support in year-end (6 legal entities FI/NO/DK/SE/EE/LV)
• Reconciliation of transactions between the Retail and Financial Systems
• Investigating and resolving any cash discrepancies between the bank statement and till re-port
• Liaising with stores to ensure that all cash handling processes are being adhered to
• Handling and reconciling of fixed assets
• Monthly VAT reconciliation and reporting
• Control and posting of salary
• Post and reconcile Intercompany invoices
• Participate and analyze stock take result (back-office function)
• Ad-hoc duties as required by the Finance manager
Your profile:
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Have a good understanding of an international business
• Is systematic, detail-oriented and analytical as well as flexible with a strong focus on meet-ing your deadlines
• Understand that good communication, teamwork and a can-do attitude are crucial
• Strong excel skills.
• Experience of SAP an advantage.
• Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and driven to continually improve
• Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities successfully at the same time
• Work effectively and efficiently with the ability to establish credibility
