This role is pivotal in building forward-thinking Men’s and Women’s apparel collections. From design inception to TOP approvals, you will follow the product life cycle to help develop bi-yearly and custom collections. You will support seasonal product needs, in collaboration with a cross-functional teams including Production, Design, Technical Design, and our Fabric R&D team. 


  • Work with overseas vendors, reviewing and approving product development submissions with Design team including proto-samples, lab dips, strike-offs, sales samples
  • Support the Pre Production Manager in partnership between Design, Technical Design, Merchandising, and Production to ensure that the product being developed meets aesthetic requirements within the targeted cost parameters
  • Assist in the tracking, receiving, and sending of design & development-related packages
  • Arrange fabric testing and acquire FDS’s to ensure correct care instructions and assess risk 
  • Communicate with vendors daily on fabric costing, MOQ, and development needs
  • Participate in product review meetings, including edits, pre-costing and post-season reviews
  • Own trim development and bulk ordering
  • Own custom apparel development and WIP
  • Maintain fabric, print, and trim library for future reference
  • Proactively communicate with cross functional partners about material development status, sales/proto sample orders, and any delays/issues that may arise during the development or production process
  • Work with design, merchandising, and buying team to initiate fabric selection ensuring key price points and seasonal directions are clearly developed
  • Keep WIP up to date with all relevant information to ensure full transparency across the business

  • 2 Year degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years experience in Apparel Product Development / Pre-Production
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and GoogleDocs required
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop a plus
  • Understanding of apparel development process and knowledge of fabrication, color science, garment constructions, and trims/finishes
