OVERVIEW:


As Gymshark continues to expand globally, we are seeking a Planning Manager to help support the North America market, including forecasting and reporting. This person will report to the Head of Planning and help shape the overall North America Commercial function, maintaining budgets and identifying opportunities for success.

Please note t his is a hybrid role based in our Denver, CO office. All candidates must be local or willing to relocate. You must also be authorized to work in the United States .

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Manage sales forecasting and top-line planning for North America markets, partnering closely with merchandising to determine opportunities and risks to overall plan
  • Partner with finance and Planning Director to provide budgetary guidance to the merchandising team, supplying top-line targets by region, gender and category to direct inventory purchasing
  • Set long range financial plans by week and day, and reforecasting every month
  • Help establish a monthly Open-To-Buy process, analyzing sales to stock performance
  • Translate financial forecasts into inventory forecasts, determining opportunities and risks by category, as we as factoring any promotional activity for the upcoming season
  • Integral part of the annual budget process (analysis, proposal, communication, monitoring) in partnership with Global HQ
  • Collaborate with merchandising on overall promotional pricing of product based on forecasted sales and margin impact, as well as current stock position
  • Help establish a monthly Open-To-Buy process, analyzing sales to stock performance
  • Support day-to-day management of commercial calendar, including sales events, partnering on Global initiatives and identifying regional opportunities
  • Roll up total sales forecast by gender to logistics team for shipping/fulfillment planning purposes
  • Hire and manage a planning team

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Qualities:

  • At least 4+ years in retail planning, company planning, FP&A, or financial forecasting
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams
  • Previous Open-to-Buy expertise
  • Operational confidence in keeping on top of sales performance, proposing actions and following through to completion in a fast-paced business
  • Advanced excel skills, with the ability to summarize and decipher key takeaways
  • Very strong numerically, analytical and commercially minded
  • Be naturally time conscious and KPI driven to attain deadlines.
  • High attention to detail

Preferred Qualities

  • Start-up experience, particularly establishing and building new reporting
  • Athletic apparel experience a plus
  • P&L management

This role has a salary range between $85,000-$103,000 annually depending on experience.
