About the Role

Gap Inc's Media team is part of the Strategic Growth Office (SGO), which is at the forefront of driving our next chapter of growth. The Director of Ad Operations will oversee the day-to-day management of GPS Media's digital ad operations, across Programmatic & Direct revenue channels. You will be responsible for all digital revenue onsite, in email and audience extension (segment management, trafficking, pacing, optimization, reporting and other tasks as needed). You will work closely with internal teams to drive campaign efficiency across all touchpoints and to enhance campaign performance to improve marketing ROI for our advertisers. Ad optimization and strategy to maximize revenue are critical to success in this role.

What You'll Do

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Create Strategic roadmap for partnerships and deployment of ad technology and Revenue Operations
  • Execute audience curation and taxonomy for advertiser deployment onsite and for audience extension
  • Manage all aspects of digital advertising campaigns for performance and execution of partner KPIs
  • Assist with implementation standards of tags, pixels, and other ad-serving/campaign related conversions
  • Oversee quality assurance analysis of all aspects of digital campaigns including timelines, creative assets, landing pages, creative rotations, and ad serving tags.
  • Troubleshoot all tag, delivery discrepancy, targeting, and trafficking issues.
  • Monitor, optimize, and scale (if applicable) direct sold programmatic inventory
  • Execute and build audience segments to help sales efforts and to ensure accurate executions of campaigns
  • Collaborate with sales and other stakeholders to help build advertiser campaigns and complete any RFP/proposal requests pre-sale
  • Manage the communication, approval, and execution of any adjustments and optimizations made before, during, and after launch
  • Lead the campaign analysis and optimizations; provide campaign performance reporting and insights, using post-campaign metrics collected from various internal stakeholders and analytics platforms.
  • Lead day-to-day ad operations relating to programmatic inventory and yield management, and inventory forecasting.


Who You Are

WHO YOU ARE:
  • 10+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Digital expert - excellent experience with
    • Various Ad Servers, DSPs and SSPs as well as DMPs and other 3rd party systems
    • Various inventory types as well as media formats
    • All things in the Programmatic Advertising ecosystem, PMPs & Deal IDs
    • Campaign trafficking, optimization, and troubleshooting
    • Audience segmentation
    • Reporting & Analytics
  • Experience in leading a team of Ad Ops professionals with a focus on programmatic
  • Exceptionally well organized with strict prioritization practice
  • Extraordinary customer service approach with strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated flexibility to manage multiple tasks, and problem solving in a fast-paced environment
  • Thrive in a team-oriented, entrepreneurial corporate environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Online advertising/media and data background strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree required
