Job Details

The Global Revenue Technology & Operations team is looking for a Technology Enablement Specialist to support change management, delivery, knowledge management, and training for our revenue technology (eg. Salesforce, Marketo, internally built, etc). The right candidate will be able to use creative approaches to ensure that the rest of Shopify understands how to use the tools and technology at their disposal to meet their objectives. This role will impact thousands of Shopify employees across the globe.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop continuous learning training and ramp programs; be an owner for technology enablement program delivery of continuing education.
  • Create, refine, adapt existing training materials and content
  • Perform technical writing responsibilities to support system changes.
  • Refine the training materials and internal processes & tools as needed.
  • Identify a need to build or deepen the team's skills in specific areas around skills and competencies.
  • Maintain a cadence of continuous improvement across all assigned curriculum areas
  • Execute a blend of training delivery methods to maximize learning retention and scalability across multiple geographies.
  • Lead and project manage the development of new materials and the improvement of existing materials, writing some content yourself, curating content from external sources, and leveraging vendors as necessary.
  • Analyze and leverage metrics on content usage, training relevance and effectiveness to update and improve existing programs
  • Collaborate with peer enablement teams to align development objectives.
  • Comfortable with running large programs or workshops on subject matters like e.g. platform knowledge, features, new product or feature release


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in any technology enablement, change management, program delivery, knowledge management, instructional design, or training roles.
  • Excellent people skills to build relationships with stakeholders and work with many different perspectives to achieve shared success.
  • Experience with training around Revenue Technology (e.g. Salesforce, Marketo, Salesloft, etc).
  • Practical experience with instructional design best practices.
  • Familiarity with LevelJump, Walkme, GURU, etc.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Adept at design thinking and user experience principles
  • Equally strong technical and business acumen
  • Exceptional at creating and tailoring meaningful, applicable learning experience
  • Equally strategic and analytical
  • Results-driven with a strong bias for action
  • Derives energy from solving problems creatively
  • Outside of the box thinker who sees opportunity in obstacles and possibilities in challenges
  • A "losing is not an option" attitude and willing to come up with creative, unconventional, and unique solutions to achieve goals


And if you had these things on top of the above, we really (really) want to hear from you:
  • PROSCI certification or other change management related certifications
  • Experience with SQL
  • Direct Experience with Salesforce & Marketo
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Familiarity with the field of Psychophysics
