As Direct Marketing Team Lead, you will help us to shape the future of direct marketing(CRM) communication at Zalando by leading the local direct marketing team responsible for driving our business growth and customer retention via direct communication (email, push notifications). The role will consist of setting up efficient processes, leading and inspiring a team of high performing direct marketers. It will require you to work cross functionally adapting as necessary to support global strategy through localized initiatives.

You will be part of the Customer Inbox team in our Digital Experience organisation. It’s our objective to deepen customer relationships via personalized direct communication that informs, inspires, and engages our customers.
  • Leadership. You provide direction, structure and advice to your direct team as well as to the Customer Inbox team overall as part of the leadership team
  • Marketing Processes. You set up efficient processes for the team to drive output in markets, grow their skills, transfer knowledge, and maintain good team health
  • Local insights. You will surface local insights to look for CRM solutions, work on concepts for existing and new use cases to drive excellent customer experience and business impact across multiple propositions & categories
  • Commercial Operations. You build relationships with Markets GMs and advise on usage of our tools to reach country objectives as well as helping your LDMs to overcome challenges
  • Strategic thinking. You will collaborate and support on overall CRM strategic topics with Head of direct marketing
  • Fly high, dive deep ability. Think strategically, but also willing to tackle necessary operational tasks energetically and collaborate with others to solve customer problems
  • Analytical mind. Drive insights from data on customer behaviour, keeping the overview across topics in our fast-paced environment
  • First experiences of leading / mentoring. Setting priorities, managing expectations, and getting the team to deliver on commitments (your team size: 10-15 employees)
  • Background and experience. University degree, advanced technical understanding, 3+ years in CRM / Direct Marketing
