Senior Designer, Print & Graphics

JOB PURPOSE
Accountable for generating and managing the creation of animations, prints and visuals with a strong fashion direction using Burberry's iconic heritage and attitude. Leading a team of designers to deliver the collection in with the brief.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the design development and coordination of the print and graphics for the menswear collection
Inspire, coach and grow the team
Communicate your vision to the team, providing clear direction, managing and distributing workload effectively to maximise output at key times
Lead and coordinate large projects following through with the necessary technical production and aftercare
Be creatively engaging with all and motivate others through ways of working and methodology
Have a strong relationship with Chief Creative Officer, strong cross-functional partnerships with merchandising, PD and central design colleagues.
Design and develop high quality artworks to a launch ready standard, with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strives for constant improvement in artwork and ways of working, unafraid to take risks and challenge the status quo
Committed to excellence to create excellent products for our customers
Launch artworks with clarity and check and coach the team's launches
Imagine and adapt visuals to cutting-edge fashion, understanding the standard of luxury ready-to-wear.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
Build strong partnerships with design and ability to develop creative technical solutions
Create strong partnership with cross functional teams
Actively contribute and participate in creative, strategic conversations
Ability to interpret the Chief Creative Officer and Burberry's aesthetic and translate into high quality artwork
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Proven track record in print design for a luxury fashion house, experience of runway is desirable
Excellent computer skills: photoshop and illustrator
A unique creative voice with strong research, concept, creative and drawing skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with credibility, share information effectively, and work confidently at all levels and with cross functional teams
Experience in leading, managing and developing a team, training and growing technical capability within the team
In depth knowledge of fashion and products in all categories 'fashion sensibility' - knowledge of trends, the market, the luxury consumer and peer awareness
Strong experience of design critical path (concept through to production), and ability to manage and organise workload to this
In-depth knowledge of materials
Technical knowledge of construction
Enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
