Job Details

We're searching for Disability and Leave Analysts/ Specialists who will be part of our Wellness & Leaves team. As a member of the team, you will help grow, build, execute, and administer our disability and leave programs. Responsibilities:
  • With a collaborative approach, proactively manage insured STD and LTD claims (including the return to work process), illness leaves, and Workers' Compensation claims globally
  • Proactively manage and administer global accommodation/workplace adjustment requests
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders (employees, managers, HR business partners, payroll & scheduling teams), as well as external contacts (vendors, insurers)
  • In partnership with HR team members, provide coaching and training to leads regarding disability claims, absence management strategies, return to work programs, and accommodation/workplace adjustments
  • Be a day-to-day contact for the HR team with disability management, accommodation, and leave questions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Vendor sourcing, vendor management, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Develop and maintain global disability and leave procedures
  • Interpret, apply, and maintain knowledge of relevant regulations (employment laws, leave legislation, etc.) and adapt programs accordingly
  • Research, develop, and implement compliant and creative leave programs
  • Evaluate our existing plans to identify opportunities for improvement


Qualifications

  • Passionate about disability & leaves management comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information
  • Knowledgeable of best practices in disability management, leaves, return to work, and accessibility, especially within a virtual environment
  • Strongly advocate and solve problems, as you will be required to find a balance between stakeholders (management, employee, insurer) in sensitive situations
  • Ability to work in different time zones on occasion to support global employees
  • Results-driven and self-starting with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working with a collaborative virtual team
  • Ability to thrive in times of chaos and ambiguity
