What You’ll Do

  • Manage a six-person buying team to direct new product procurement and replenishment based on OKRs focused on managing inventory and driving revenue through multiple channels including ecommerce and physical retail 
  • Work with Finance to develop, manage and enforce open-to-buy budgets across all new product categories.                     
  • Oversee product life cycle from procurement through GTM including but not limited to collaborating with relevant departments to develop and execute photography, product copy, PDP creation, marketing and promotions.
  • Manage the Director of Retail and the Retail team in our brick and mortar retail location in New York City.
  • Ensure implementation of short and medium to long-term commercial strategy, supporting achievement of the business objectives
  • Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development, etc.)
  • Assist in setting financial targets, budget development and Inventory monitoring
  • Track, measure and analyze commercial metrics using KPI
  • Analyze opportunities for growth via customer acquisition and perform due diligence
  • Work closely with marketing to drive sales through all channels.
  • Implement new sales strategies and ensure departments follow industry best practice
  • Actively participate and lead strategy for growth of existing customer business
  • Lead and navigate cross-functional teams including E-Commerce and Retail, as well as, new distribution channels to engage customers in a whole new way with the ultimate goal of growing revenue

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; advance degree in business or related field preferred
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff members at every level of the organization
  • Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrating an ability to move and influence a large team towards a common goal and objective 
  • Self-starter who is willing to roll up their sleeves when necessary
  • Strong time management skills leading to a consistent ability to meet deadline
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate a highly cross-functional organization and create a culture of collaboration
  • Developed and proven project management expertise, featuring the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Buying, Planning, and Merchandising experience required with a strong understanding of and interest in the Watch Industry.
  • Knowledge of Shopify, NetSuite, or Sugar CRM a plus.
