THE ROLE:
The Creative Copywriter acts as the guardian of the House of Hackney tone of voice, working closely with the Head of Brand Creative and the founders of House of Hackney to drive the brand storytelling across all touch points. As the sole copywriter for the brand, you will be responsible for creating original, compelling copy across all omni-channel platforms, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and the highest level of quality. While reflecting the brand values throughout all copy and content, you will also constantly dream up new ways to push the brand messaging forward. The ideal candidate would be an experienced, creatively minded copywriter with a keen eye for detail and a flair for storytelling.

Based at: Shoreditch Head Office, at least 3 days a week.
Reporting to:Directors ( creative , campaigns ) & Ecommerce manager ( web related )

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Writing creative copy for new campaigns, product launches and product description
  • Writing engaging copy for all channels (online/offline, external/internal), including web, email, social, PR, in-store POS
  • Writing editorial content for the ‘Inspiration’ section of the website, from interior decorating stories to interviews with collaborators
  • Working collaboratively with other teams (including production, web and trade) to understand the copy requirements for each department
  • Managing and prioritising own workload effectively
  • Writing or editing internal brand communication


THE CANDIDATE - IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE*:

  • 3+ years copywriting experience, either in-house or agency. Previous experience writing for a premium/luxury interiors or homeweare brand preferable but not essential
  • Excellent written English, spelling and grammar, with a meticulous attention to detail
  • A love of House of Hackney and a good understanding of the brand values, along with the motivation to bring the brand’s story to life through copy
  • Someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adapt to a growing team as well as the changing business needs
  • Ability to take feedback on board and respond to amends quickly
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organisational skills
