Gerber Pattern Cutter

Description:

 

We are looking for a Creative Gerber Pattern Cutter to work in-house, across multiple product categories. Reporting into our Senior Pattern Cutter, you will work closely with the Design and PD teams through the development process, creating first patterns from design sketches and drapes. Following these through to production, you will work to sign off final amends and provide all relevant information into our tech packs for the production team and factories. 

 

 

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

-       Creating first patterns from design sketches and drapes

 

-       Reviewing and developing patterns from proto through to production

 

-       Attending fittings with the design team and creative director, at sampling stage, through to handover and PPS fittings with the production team

 

-       Organising the digitising of all paper patterns into the Gerber system

 

-       Supplying accurate pattern measurements to our garment tech team

 

-       Creating costings, when required at peak times

 

-       Assisting in the day to day management of the studio, alongside the wider PD team

 

 

 

Desired Skills:

 

-       Use of Gerber 10.3 and above

 

-       Grading knowledge advantageous

 

-       Knowledge of Easy Marking and experience with using Zedonk is a plus

 

-       Strong understanding of construction methods and finishings

 

-       Previous luxury womenswear experience

 

-       Excellent communication skills and comfortable working a team studio environment

 

-       Capable of working under pressure, in a fast paced environment

 

-       Ability to be aware of, and work to tight critical path deadlines
