Technology Services combines all our technical Merchant Facing Teams consisting of Solution Engineering, Launch Consulting and Service Delivery. These teams work closely with our Sales, Partnerships and Merchants Success Team advising on Technical Requirements and Commerce Best Practices. Technology Services supports Merchants in every Phase of their Journey from Evaluating the right Solution, to Onboarding and Going Live, to continuing to grow on Shopify.

About the role:

The Technology Services Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Technology Services EMEA and his Leadership Team. This role will help with a broad range of topics including improving overall productivity of the Leadership Team, taking ownership of Team Culture & Events, running short term strategic projects based on current needs. The Coordinator will be a vital and active part of the Leadership team and will get full insights into the work of the Team. The usual activities will be roughly split into 40% covering administrative tasks as Calendar scheduling, Running meetings and taking notes & supporting the hiring process. The majority will be towards supporting the Leadership Team in creating great team culture by organising team events (virtual, in-person) and running projects on a need basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Build a deep understanding of Technology Services and the different teams
  • Work closely with the TS Leadership Team on operational and Cultural Initiatives
  • Align and collaborate with multiple senior stakeholders to support the Head of Technology Services, EMEA with creating and executing a vision and strategy for the team.
  • Support the administrative needs of multiple Leaders simultaneously to optimize their time and allow them to focus on their priorities
  • Manage your Leaders' calendars and organize meetings to increase efficiency, prioritize tasks, and maximize their productivity
  • Proactively solve your Leader's coordination/operating inefficiencies and recommend solutions
  • Execute logistical needs for team activities, including project reviews, events, workshops, socials, etc.
  • Track priorities and ensure follow through on key items to help GSD
  • Continuously improve administrative processes to make them better
  • Proactively integrate into the business to gain a more fulsome understanding of each teams' current projects and needs
  • Contribute to team rituals and cultural team projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with Global Programs team to drive big rock projects forward
  • Analyse data. Conduct research and develop business cases to help drive the executive decision-making process.
  • Balancing strategic thinking with real-world execution - driving to implementation and action.
  • Independently identifying and handling roadblocks (as needed, diving into the weeds - e.g., performing analyses generating materials).


Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, and are comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Detail-obsessed, organized, and passionate about team operations
  • Integrity and can be trusted to handle highly sensitive material and information with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Self-starter who has the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive strategic initiatives from the ground up while leading others.
  • Agile, resourceful, and willing to continuously challenge yourself, learn, and grow
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and working in an ever-changing environment
  • Great at prioritizing multiple, competing priorities, and can make prioritization decisions on behalf of your team's needs
  • Excited to learn about the Technology Services Team and develop the appropriate business acumen
  • Thrive in a Digital by Design environment, and are comfortable with new technologies
  • Native/bilingual or full professional proficiency in English and preferably another language
  • Experience in building compelling Presentations
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about new trends & technologies

Bonus Experience:
  • Team coordination or project management experience
  • Previous experience working with senior leadership teams
  • Event planning from conception to execution
  • Sophisticated knowledge of the ecommerce ecosystem, specifically system integrators, agency and tech partners and options.
