Buying Operations Specialist

The Buying Operations Specialist is responsible for the accurate creation and maintenance of master data, of purchase orders and to manage receipt reconciliation. In addition, they play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors as well as their counterparts in buying, planning, ecommerce, supply chain and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Master Data set up and maintenance
• Purchase Order creation
• Owning and determining size scales for orders
• Purchase Order maintenance including closing PO's, Delivery & Markdown Month & User Defined Attributes
• Reconciliation of receipts against on order
• Tracking of shipments
• Return to Vendor tracking and follow up with Inventory Control and Distribution Center
• Keying markdown price changes into the system
• Coordinate and communicate ticketing needs for vendors
• Act as the liaison between the distribution center and vendors when questions arise
• Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values

• Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with other groups, as necessary
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment
• Passion, energy and enthusiasm to drive results with a team-oriented approach
• College Degree preferred
