CREATIVE OPERATIONS

We're a creative family, building copy, data and visual assets for each corner of the FARFETCH Ecommerce Platform. We are dedicated to providing gold standard imagery, content and production services for our partners and creating an engaging on-site experience for our customers.

LOS ANGELES

Our Los Angeles office is found in the centre of downtown LA. Our office is in one of the city's tallest buildings with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the mountains and the Hollywood sign. Inside, the office is full of plants and beautiful furniture, with amenities and work areas that allow Farfetchers to design their day to be the best it can be. Some of the main teams located here include Operations, Customer Service and Production.

THE ROLE

The Production Operations Manager provides leadership to the local Production team (Logistics, Styling, Photography, Planning and Process Engineering) in Los Angeles. With a focus on communication, team leadership, strategy, operational execution and reporting analysis, you will report to the VP of Operations in North America with a dotted line reporting structure into the Global Digital Production Director based in GuimarĂ£es, Portugal. A significant part of the responsibility is to work with other teams both globally and locally to ensure that the Los Angeles studio is accomplishing a fluid strategy that enables the team to produce beautiful, high-quality assets. These assets will ensure our boutique and brand partners get their product online to our platform to reach our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • TEAM LEADERSHIP
    • You will work with a variety of local and global team members including the Commercial, Operations, Finance and People teams to support seasonal peaks and longer-term business growth
    • You will communicate with, listen to, motivate, develop and positively influence your team and peers
    • You will ensure performance management is conducted and development plans identified for the entire team
    • You will partner with the recruitment team to accomplish hiring needs
    • You will partner with the office management & building management to ensure the physical & supply needs of the studio are met
    • STRATEGY
    • You will control a defined budget with responsibility for associated cost manage report to VP of Operations and Global Digital Production Director on a monthly/quarterly basis
    • You will work with the VP of Operations and Global Digital Production Director on strategy for the team, making recommendations based on expertise
    • You will translate strategy into a tactical and operational plan, and communicate to team and lead and direct a team
    • You will work with both local and global teams to understand areas of cooperation and bring contribution to the Farfetch strategy
    • OPERATIONAL EXECUTION
    • You will guide the rapid delivery of digital assets and oversee workflow development over the local studio operations
    • You will ensure that all aspects of production logistics are well developed and maintained
    • You will identify best practices and achieve operational and scale efficiencies while also focusing on quality and aesthetic
    • You will communicate with global team members to exchange important information and operational processes;
    • REPORTING & ANALYSIS
    • You will determine KPIs aligned with department strategy and analyze goals to identify potential efficiency improvements and determine solutions for at-risk areas
    • You will be the ambassador for our continuous improvement system by encouraging an environment where change and improvements are everybody responsibility to achieve business development
    • You will help build engineering activities that support production operations and process strategy
    • You will identify production process issues and find new process solutions with partnerships from both global and local teams


WHO YOU ARE

    • You have 5+ years experience leading large teams in a high volume / high-quality, operationally-focused environment
    • You have experience with change management and team leadership
    • You have experience in production or supply chain processes (Lean, Kaizen, or equivalent)
    • You have technical knowledge and experience analyzing processes and performance-oriented data
    • You can engage and inspire at all levels
    • You have people management experience and enjoy empowering your team members
    • You are a creative and strategic thinker
    • You are comfortable liaising at all levels within the business
    • You have experience managing large financial budgets
    • You are comfortable working within an evolving business and excel within the dynamic demands
    • You have passion and dedication for always exceeding customer expectations
