BRADY is looking for an Associate Production Manager to Join their New York team.

 

The Associate Production Manager will utilize product and process knowledge to assist with the management and execution of the apparel production process for assigned styles.

Responsibilities:

· Manage daily projects related to production matters

· Maintain daily communication with factories and vendors to resolve production issues

· Serve as a liaison between Design and vendors by tracking and communicating on bulk fabric, trim approvals, color, and combos, to ensure meet calendar deadline and update supervisor on failures

· Costing – land costing and update cost sheets as needed

· Request sample yardage/yarn, advance yardage/yarn from bulk for pre- production samples and follow up with mill or factory to ensure deliveries

· Review Time &Action calendar for submits regularly to ensure approval deadlines are met

· Track sample status and deliveries closely with vendors

· Maintain WIP report for sample tracking and fit approvals

· Update and check BOM pages to clarify fabric trim is correct prior pass to factory.

· Work with fabric buy chart for fabric booking purpose.

· Review fit lists and prioritize garments for fittings, attend fittings as approved by Manager and advise production status and issues

· Monitor fit approvals and fit comments sending status.

· Review and follow up with factories on fabric inspection forms

· Daily filing and record keeping.

· Issue and revise all cut tickets and purchase orders and send to vendors

· Review and process shipping documents from factories, monitor shipping quantity discrepancies.

· Work with forwarder to expedite shipments from vendors

· Request/Monitor lab test and garment test reports from factories

· Help assist director with projects when needed.

 

 

Required Experience and Qualifications: (degrees, specific functional skills, professional experience, knowledge, proven accomplishments etc.)

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 5-7 years in related role
  • Key knowledge of apparel manufacturing process
  • Good understanding of development process through production
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • Ability to meet expected deadlines * Ability to build working relationships with business partners
