The Team
The Market Merchandising team for Footwear & Accessories is a key business partner working with all labels & countries globally. Based in the Amsterdam European HQ, the team's purpose is to grow the distribution by implementing a segmentation strategy, briefing specific product needs, translating product stories into consumer storytelling and training the sales team with a go-to-market strategy.

The Position

As a Market Merchandiser, you will be working on processes & planning for our Footwear & Accessories business. You will work closely with a Senior Manager in the team, and the sales teams globally, as well as a wide range of teams internally.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Milestone Management

Support the Snr Manager with planning key milestones for accessories and footwear: Understanding the purpose of each meeting, inviting the right audience, following up on any challenges or opportunities to appropriate teams

Planning meetings and writing agenda, be the master of ceremony (key milestones meetings have usually between 20 to 50 attendees)

Challenging teams to deliver better content and improve meetings

Be the calendar ambassador

Digital Selling

Responsible for the Digital Assets creations for the sell-in tools (digital showroom)

Review sell-in assets to ensure accuracy and understanding of product: imagery, categorization, copy, linking in selling system

Main contact with external photo studios, responsible for the photoshoot

Reports Building and Reports Management

Monitor sell-in during sales seasons

Participates in the insight process and identifies global/regional wins and opportunities by channel

Prepare daily/weekly/quarterly reporting such as KPI weekly dashboard, top/bottom sellers, and quarterly business reviews

Share with the right audience and get people interested in the facts & figures. Be creative in the way the data is shared

Label alignment & country communication

Effectively liaise with all merchandising teams to build and influence seasonal presentations.

Sales support during selling season: making sure all sell-in systems are working and be the main point of contact to countries in case of questions

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Around 5 years of experience in project management and/or sales management within a Fashion brand
  • Excellent computer skills (Power Point, excel)
  • Analytical skills
  • Excellent Business English (both written and verbal), and outstanding presentation skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation & influence skills at management level
  • Multi tasks and hand-on
  • Able to work in a fast paced, matrix based, challenging environment
