About the Role
We are looking for an Analyst to work with the Capital Accounting team in the Real Estate Accounting function. This is a cross functional role that will work with other departments within the Gap Inc. organization. This position will support the day to day operational processes related to repairs,maintenance , and general contractor, purchase order and invoice processes. This role includes being the point of contact for escalated and /or complex purchase order/invoices, aging or payment issues, and provides additional team support as necessary.

About the Role
We are looking for an Analyst to work with the Capital Accounting team in the Real Estate Accounting function. This is a cross functional role that will work with other departments within the Gap Inc. organization. This position will support the day to day operational processes related to repairs,maintenance , and general contractor, purchase order and invoice processes. This role includes being the point of contact for escalated and /or complex purchase order/invoices, aging or payment issues, and provides additional team support as necessary.
What You'll Do
- Manage departmental mailbox activity to complete actions within the predefined service level agreements with our internal/external business partners.
- Track and manage all of the vendor invoice aging to a less than 45 day standard.
- Oversee invoicing work flow process that results in the monthly payment or accrual of invoices.
- Ensure all documentation is acquired to support the SOX controls as related to the Gap Inc. Procure to Pay Policy & Procedure.
- Coordinate communication with internal and external business partners as needed, to address issues and facilitate change and/or improve processing effectiveness.
- Assist in implementing process improvements, including assisting with special projects and assignments as needed.
Who You Are
- Fundamental understanding of accounting to draw conclusions on payments and accruals
- Ability to operate at an intermediate level as it relates to Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
- Ability to operate with a high sense of urgency and be able to filter, prioritize, and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals
- Ability to manage the details and large amounts of data
- Ability to influence others while maintaining key relationships through effective communication and strong emotional intelligence
