Job Overview:

The Snr. Manager supports GMM leadership on strategic matters by providing analysis, research, removing roadblocks and streamlining processes and connections. The Snr. Manager is a trusted advisor embedded within one of the merchandise areas of Bloomingdale's and is responsible for activating and bringing a cohesive, unified approach to strategy execution across each division. In this role you will serve as a connector, influencer and partner, providing critical business support, structure and guidance to key business stakeholders

Essential Functions:
  • Works directly with EVP/GMM to make time, information and decision-making more effective through analysis, research, project/relationship management and high level of advisory direction both internally and externally.
  • Consults, links and integrates total GMM pyramid to key business strategies. Lead select strategic initiatives while simultaneously working with DMMs to drive shorter-term operational results.
  • Mobilize internal and external partners creating alignment and structure around processes (ex: floor planning) and cross division/GMM brand strategy execution.
  • Strong understanding of the business, market, trend and competition.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing
  • Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing and talking
  • Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
