POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Strengthen brand's merchandising & buying capability to support the business growth in all channels.
  • Mainly responsible for product and capsule development, assortment selection, unit projection, pricing, product performance, promotion, and inventory management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Be the market expert in womenswear, conduct studies, collect market trends and consumer insights
  • Brief global division teams on trend and request, ensure assortment and products are suitable for China
  • Participate in the global meeting for product development, market launch, assort suitable product selections, unit projections, set appropriate pricing, and submit any special addition request to maximize China business
  • Collaborate with cross-function teams to prepare China Market Launch, manage salesman samples, present new season products and concepts, collect and submit China order and feedback to global team on time
  • Develop appropriate assortments and project unit qty for different channels each season, to achieve business targets, such as top line, ST%, and margin
  • Develop and update products performance analysis reports regularly, clearly reflect business status in various channels, identify potential opportunities to maximize sell through and stock efficiency
  • Create training materials and conduct training sessions during seasonal launch for various channels
  • Work closely with buying, planning and operation teams throughout the season from seasonal launch plan to end-of-season mark down plan to achieve sales target, ST%, and other KPI goals
  • Track and follow up with product and fabric testing and cancellation, manage defect issues throughout the seasons between retail and production teams
  • Maintain consistent brand image by collaborating with Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Ecommerce department
  • Coach and knowledge sharing with junior team members

Internal: All relevant functional teams, including Wholesale and E-com teams, Retail Operation, Planning, VM, Marketing, Logistic

External: Regional and global Merchandising Team

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:
  • 3 years of relevant experience in the fashion retail / wholesale industry focusing on apparel, buying and product development experience required

Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fashion and trend sensitive
  • Excellent commercial sense
  • Work well in dynamic cross-function team under pressure and constant changes
  • Good communication and presentation skill
  • Fluent in both Mandarin & English is a must
  • Advance in Microsoft Office, especially in excel and ppt
  • Strong emphasis on team work, willing to learn and assist others, even outside the assigned work scope
  • Self-driven

Education: University graduate in Business Administration related majors
