Head of Global Merchandise Projects (m/f/d)

What you can expect:
  • Direct the ongoing activities of improving merchandising processes with an awareness of innovations and the ability to assess the relevance of possible tools & applications for enhanced merchandise efficiency
  • Steer the implementation of our new merchandising system
  • Drive continuous change management of new merchandise processes and innovations (e.g. use of adv. analytics) both within HQ and in the markets
  • Working closely together with global merchandise leaders with the aim to have a consistent view of how to balance efficiency, brand desirability and productivity
  • Steer both the global merchandise projects team and additional internal and external resources to find the right balance between daily business support, continuous improvements and project work
  • Raise awareness of Merchandising requirements and processes in the business
  • Leading a diverse team incl. managers
  • Support Global Merchandising VP in the strategic definition / alignment of global merchandise processes and tools (merchandise roadmap) that include as well the impact on organizational structures
  • Involved in the global and regional strategic alignments/discussions around merchandise management, support a creation of and compliance to global standards for merchandise processes and tools


Your profile:
  • Bachelor or Master in Business administration or similar
  • Relevant working experience in Retail and Merchandise management or in industry related Consulting
  • Good project management experience (waterfall & agile)
  • Very good understanding of IT tools gained through implementing new tools ans systems (e.g. S4 HANA)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong (cross divisional) communication and change management skills
  • Quick comprehension of complex tasks as well as ability to quickly establish a good working connection to divers target groups in an intercultural environment
  • Ability to influence behavior of diverse stakeholder groups from Board to team member level
  • Business fluency in English, German is an add-on
