In this role, one will research and resolve inventory issues reported from various internal NMG departments. Researching of large data sets will require critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Reporting creation, distribution and analyzation is essential in ensuring inventory accuracy is retained from day to day. Finally, preparing, executing, and reconciling the stores annual physical inventories concludes a year of inventory management. This position has a high interdependency with all impacted departments and banners.

Responsibilities:
    • As inventory is always moving, it is important to evaluate and prioritize reported issues.
    • Requesting necessary information and data to analyze and identify root causes in a timely manner
    • Assist in all aspect of coordinating and executing the NMG physical inventory process
    • Collaboration with merchants, technical support, accounting, stores and warehouses is necessary to gain an understanding of current practices and assist in problem resolution
    • Prepare daily stock ledger adjustments and month end journal entries
    • Participate in system enhancement testing by documenting requirements and specifications with the purpose of validating inventory use test cases
    • Develop, implement, and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) to aid in inventory controls and accuracy for stores, warehouses and merchants
    • Provide training and system support for all users within the company both through daily email conversation and formal settings
    • Prepare inventory related data request for internal and external auditors

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Role Background:
    • Bachelors degree in accounting, business management, computer science, or finance from a four-year university
    • Preferred a minimum of 2+ years in inventory control/management, accounting or audit
    • Experience with the following is considered a plus:
    • Oracle Retail Systems
    • Manhattan Warehousing and Order Management
    • Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, and Access
    • JIRA and Confluence
    • SQL Developer
    • SharePoint
