As Marketing Lead for Zalando Plus, you are the thought leader for Plus proposition marketing and drive the overall marketing strategy to execution across all markets. You oversee all marketing activities and bring to life the annual marketing plan. Your goal is to drive deeper relationships with Plus members through campaigns and communication and help grow the membership. You are doing so in collaborating strongly with x-functional teams. Success lies in driving consumer awareness of Zalando Plus and its benefit offerings, Plus member growth, engagement and retention. This role will autonomously coordinate senior stakeholders to deliver high quality, seamless experiences for Zalando customers and Plus members.

  • Drive thought leadership on Plus marketing by developing data-driven plans, key strategic approaches, and global as well as market-specific principles based on a deep understanding of the mechanics of subscription businesses, the Plus proposition, and campaign performance insights
  • Develop the annual Plus marketing plan for the business in coordination with Markets and Global/ Regional Marketing, Planning & Trading and Category Management teams
  • Oversee the annual marketing plan and drive execution of Plus campaigns and communications with operational excellence and relentless pursuit of performance. Consistently deliver and drive new ideas and initiatives to improve the commercial performance
  • Success lies in driving consumer awareness of the Plus program, improving the effectiveness of acquisition, engagement and retention marketing activities and thereby growing the Plus member base
  • Professional experience & skills - You bring at least 6 years of relevant work experience in marketing strategy, planning, and management, ideally from a subscription business
  • Business & analytical mind - You are passionate about analysis, results and efficiency; experienced in applying latest insights, data-analysis and KPIs to sharpen content and media strategies to drive reach, engagement and conversion; you are a commercial and marketing mind, able to translate customer insights into a commercial opportunity
  • Great leader - You have previous leadership experience, building and growing highly effective teams that follow your strategic journey
  • Get stuff done - You are independently getting things done in a fast-paced ongoingly changing environment without losing sight of your goals; as such, you have experience with project management and the ability to adapt your skills to a given project context; you are a highly reliable business partner and passionate about your work; you know when to be hands-on and pragmatic to reach your goals; you embrace and drive change and are always on the hunt for solutions and improvements
  • Strong communicator - You have excellent English skills, and are able to communicate clearly with various stakeholders; you are able to bring people with you and to drive alignment
