Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Designer, the Junior Designer is responsible for supporting the creation of the Stella McCartney WRTW collection from concept to completion. This role will be working closely with the Senior Designer.

Your Mission:
  • Research thoroughly seasonal themes and inspirations, fabric and colour concepts as directed by the Senior Designer
  • Work closely with the Senior Designer on inspiring and innovative designs that will be sketched and put into development each season .
  • Present inspiring, bold and innovative design ideas
  • Participate in fittings and display a confidence and aptitude in developing styles from sketch to production
  • Understand and respect collection deadlines set by the Senior Collection Manager to ensure the timely delivery of the seasonal collection.
  • Develop prototypes with confidence to present to the Senior Designers and work with the Atelier to amend prototypes and finalise samples
  • Work collaboratively with all key departments, including the Merchandising and Product Development to achieve the collection
  • Support the Senior Designers for Design meeting preparation
  • Support the Senior Designers in fittings, take thorough notes during meetings and update sketches
  • Create and maintain mood boards on a regular basis

  • Great time management skills
  • Comfortable working additional hours to perform duties, including weekends and also travel when necessary
  • Must have strong computer skills, including excel and power point
  • Must be a strong team player and work well with other team members

  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Creative thinker, with the ability to think outside the box and an eye for detail
