At Zalando, we want to create an experience that helps us connect more deeply with our customers shopping for Beauty products. Beauty is a key strategic priority for 2021-2022 and onwards across the Fashion Store.
Our Beauty Category was established in 2018 by a team of colleagues across Business Development, Buying, and Merchandise Planning. Since then the team has grown significantly, making impressive inroads into the Beauty market, and delivering exponential growth. Our assortment has grown to more than 500 brands across make-up, skincare, fragrances, haircare, and beauty accessories and now includes iconic names like MAC, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Charlotte Tilbury and Urban Decay.
Looking forward, we set our sights on scaling the business and building the foundations for online Beauty leadership in the future including building unique partnerships with the most iconic Beauty partners like Sephora.
As a Commercial Planning and Analysis Manager, you will play a key role in our newly created Beauty Partnerships team at Zalando. You will support Commercial and Strategic Partnership teams make data-driven decisions and achieve our ambitious targets. You will be responsible for analysing and forecasting the partnership business performance across all markets, for building a reporting system which considers both internal and external viewpoints and you will be the Guardian of our internal data sharing Firewalls within Zalando and towards the external stakeholders.

WHY YOU SHOULD BE INTERESTED
- Help Beauty Commercial and Strategic Partnership team to steer Partner business to deliver on customer promises and to reach its ambitious targets in each Zalando Beauty market
- Lead reporting, analytics, and forecasting of the partner share of the Beauty Category in a close collaboration with Zalando Commercial and Strategic Partnership teams as well as our Beauty Partners; identify opportunities in the current ways of working, propose and implement relevant solutions
- Bring the analytical approach in the Beauty Partnership business, you generate hypotheses and try to test them by performing analysis to create insights and recommendations that will help improve data-driven decision making
- Maintain, automate and improve reporting tools, to ensure the data flow is accurate and timely and prepare data analyzes for projects, team meetings, steering committee presentations and ad hoc requests
- Work very closely with Zalando Buying, Merchandise Planning and Finance teams within the Beauty category to drive and contribute to our overall growth
- Play a prominent role in building Zalando Beauty partner program model overall
- 4+ years of work experience in a related field, ideally for e-commerce platform businesses
- Strong analytical skills, you are comfortable with building, maintaining and improving financial and forecasting models and working with large amounts of data
- Good understanding of data reporting tools (e.g. advanced skills MS Office, SQL is an advantage and Microstrategy knowledge is a big plus). As well as database handling experience (e.g. Power BI)
- Data visualisation and reporting skills and understanding of respective tools
- Think strategically and able to steer business towards its targets through data analysis and identifying risks and opportunities
- Enjoy working cross-functionally, you have great stakeholder management skills to work with different levels of management in order to support, challenge and bring solutions
- Not afraid to make an impact, spot inefficiencies and make improvements with a hands-on mentality, a person who always finds simple, efficient solutions to challenges. You are proactive, can adapt quickly to changes and always remain focused on our quality objectives
- Preferable: experience in either merchandise planning or/and financial analysis and planning or/and data analytics
- Preferable: Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Statistics or comparable field
- Fluent in English
