Job Overview: The Senior Analyst, Marketing Calendar Planning is responsible for providing analytics for the development of omni-channel seasonal marketing calendar/promotional events that support the brand, merchant, and marketing strategies. The Senior Analyst will have a strong financial acumen and affinity for forecasting. The ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels is essential for success in this role.

Essential Functions:
  • Calendar Planning:
    • Along with Director, develop promotional calendar and projected sales by day and channel based on new seasonal strategies and holiday shifts
    • Determine optimal combination of event offers (mix and level of discount, points, gift card etc.) and provide evaluations of sales and margin implications for various offer strategies
    • Identify and propose tests to events with potential to enhance overall business results
    • Present marketing calendar to Senior Leadership and various business partners in the organization
  • Analysis:
    • Recap promotional events by analyzing company-wide sales, location and FOB sales, customer engagement, etc. Identify takeaways and recommendations for future events by evaluating effectiveness of offers.
    • Partner with cross functional teams (store communications, customer experience, Loyalty marketing, media channels, international marketing, and the merchant organization) to create a holistic view of event performance
    • Perform ad-hoc merchant/marketing requests for data analysis and recommendations
  • Forecasting:
    • Maintains daily sales projections/ROF for company's total daily sales by channel (DSR); prepare and present top line business snapshot daily in format suitable for broad audience
    • Collaborate with Gross Margin Planning and D2C team on sales flow by channel both pre-season and in-season
    • Deliver projections/risk analysis on offer and event changes in season
  • Other:
    • Collaborate with Business Intelligence/Data Analytics team to identify required data/reports needed to perform analysis
    • Maintain competitor calendar by tracking and analyzing promotional offers/messaging in the competition and bringing new ideas for both promotional offers and messaging to the team for consideration

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university

5+ years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
  • Strong project management experience, including timeline & process creation and deadline enforcement.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
  • Proficient in Sprinklr or similar publishing/analytics social tool

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing
  • Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing and talking
  • Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
  • Frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs.
