Our ambitious but achievable growth plans are centred around using creative visual storytelling to bring our brand to life across our owned channels and to reach and engage with both existing and new audiences. We are now looking for a talented Social Media Lead to join our motivated and ambitious marketing and ecommerce team. The role will report initially to our new CMO and thereafter to our Brand Director, and will work closely with our Art Director and our PR and influencer relations teams.
About the role:
Your responsibilities cover three key areas:
1. Content creation and curation
- Translating the brand strategy into social content franchises which will communicate and support our values
- Self-shooting content in all formats, with a particular focus on moving content formats (reels, IGTV, lives, TikTok)
- Using software suites, digital tools and apps to create sparkling content that is the envy of our competitors
- Curating our social feeds to create the perfect balance of self-shot content, campaign creative, and influencer content
2. Community building and engagement
- Creating and implementing a suite of channel-specific strategies to build community and increase engagement
- Creating content specifically designed to drive interaction and dialogue
- Leveraging functionality in the social platforms to invite feedback and initiate conversations
- Writing captions that are snappy, stylish, on brand and encourage engagement
- Proactively participating in brand-appropriate conversations, and engaging with our community’s content in a way that will create reciprocity
- Creating and implementing a brand-appropriate hashtag strategy to increase discoverability
3. Scheduling, analytics and reporting
- Ensuring content is planned, scheduled and posted in a timely and organised way and ensuring alignment with the marketing calendar
- Regularly undertaking ongoing analysis of what’s working best (reach, engagement) and using the resulting insights to drive continuous improvements
- Creating and maintaining a suite of regular social media reports to showcase progress to all internal stakeholders and partner agencies
- Monitoring competitor activity to continually evolve our idea of what best-in-class content looks like in the luxury space
About you:
This role would suit an ambitious and energetic social content creator with an entrepreneurial approach. The ideal candidate will instinctively know how to create compelling, thumb-stopping content, will nurture our social accounts as if they were their own, and will delight in building highly-engaged communities around them.
You will:
- Have intimate knowledge of Instagram, YouTube and TikTok and an innate understanding of the differences between them
- Be passionate about visual storytelling and natively social
- Take a resourceful approach to content creation: you’ll know all the tricks to creating elevated, elegant content with just an iphone, and the canny use of lighting, angles, and props, and you’ll have a suite of go-to apps that make your content shine
- Be brimming with endless ideas for how to build and engage with audiences
- Innovate at every opportunity and embrace new formats and content platforms
Also advantageous:
- Knowledge of Asian social media channels (Weibo, Xiaohongshu)
- An understanding of paid social formats
- A demonstrable ability to be camera-facing in appropriate content formats
