FINANCE

We're a global team with a presence in all of our locations around the world. Our biggest teams are based in the UK and Portugal. Our team in Porto focuses on financial reporting and operations, while the Group Finance team in London is made up of Corporate Development, Tax, Treasury and Commercial Finance. All of our teams play an instrumental role within the business, from developing best practice, delivering strategic projects and helping us to tell our story with data.

PORTUGAL

Our Portugal offices are located in four of the country's most vibrant cities - Braga, GuimarĂ£es, Lisbon and Porto, known for their rich historical background and warm atmosphere. The teams working in Portugal cover all areas of FARFETCH, from Digital Production to Operations, People and Technology. In our GuimarĂ£es and Porto offices you can experience the latest fashion trends in our European Production sites, and in our Braga, Porto and Lisbon offices you can immerse yourself in the tech world!

THE ROLE

You will work together with wider team to provide practical, commercial advice to the teams which compose each business line, build relationships with them and be a trusted adviser for them on all aspects related to indirect tax.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Provide VAT technical support and prepare draft replies on complex VAT matters for non-tax stakeholders;
    • Provide advice to the businesses on non-complex EU-wide indirect tax matters, in close collaboration to senior team members;
    • Research and analysis of tax issues related to business transactions and indirect tax implications;
    • Monitor for possible issues and opportunities that are relevant for FARFETCH;
    • Be the contact for indirect tax questions to our internal clients;
    • Support the wider indirect tax team on achievement its operational and strategy goals;


WHO YOU ARE

    • EU VAT experience;
    • Experience in UK VAT will be also considered an advantage;
    • Experience in fashion industry and / or e-commerce is an advantage;
    • Fluent in English, both written and spoken is mandatory;
