Reports to: Senior Graphic Designer
Department: Marketing
Location: NYC/Italy/London
Role & Expectations:
P448 is an Italian footwear brand rooted in the belief that eclecticism, design innovation and continuous experimentation lie at the heart of self-expression. Our brand is candid, free-spirited and relatable. We are looking for a Web Designer to assist the Senior Graphic Designer and Marketing Team with elevating the graphic and visual identity across all web & digital channels. The ideal candidate will be a progressive thinker, willing to experiment with new social / digital channels, graphic ideations, and customer focused to drive the best experience for p448.com.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with marketing / ecommerce to incorporate data (analytics, heatmaps, customer feedback) into design approach
- Design engaging and responsive landing pages focused on elevating the user experience and increasing site conversion
- Optimize site for maximum speed and scalability
- Leverage industry and design best practice throughout website build process
- Conducting website testing where applicable
- Ensuring website function and stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet
- Working with marketing and research teams to incorporate brand elements and relevant market research findings into website
- Design assets to be used across various digital platforms including web, social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), email and new emerging channels
- Conceptualize visuals, website and marketing experiences based on requirements
- Develop illustrations, logos and other special projects
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas to senior designer and Marketing & Web Teams
- Assist in the creation of content geared towards engaging audiences across all social channels
- Create content in accordance with UI/UX guidelines with a focus on increasing ecommerce conversion
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure consumer and brand focus is on point
- Test graphics across various media channels
- Consistently deliver high-quality work from visual concepts and beyond
- Keep abreast of digital customer trends, key competitor digital activity in the fashion, lifestyle sectors
- Be proactive in researching and proposing ways in which to improve digital content
- Create gifs and images for display banner ads
- Create a range of web-ready crops of digital imagery for our website and social platforms
- Support the senior graphic designer and marketing / ecommerce teams on special projects as needed
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Communication or Media Design
- Minimum 3 years work experience in design role within fashion, web or design industries
- Experience in responsive design and a mobile first approach
- UI/UX design capabilities
- Strong understanding of typography, web fonts and graphic design
- Able to interpret briefs and guidelines accurately with a keen eye for detail and efficiency
- Familiarity with web best practices and design trends
- Ability to work precisely under pressure and within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate and work in an international environment
- Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo and Asana or similar required
- Fluency in Adobe CS (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), PowerPoint and Keynote required
- Fluency in English & Italian (spoken / written) required
