Job Overview:

The Manger, Unique Merchandise Initiatives has responsibility for the curation of Carousel assortment in partnership with the Director of Merchandise Initiatives across both stores and digital channels for all GMM's pyramids and Integrated Marketing. This includes the development, communication, and management of the marketing strategy for Carousel @ Bloomingdale's. The Manager will lead 360-marketing campaign planning and present strategy to key stakeholders including Project Planning, Photo, Creative, Email, Homepage, Paid Media, Site, Social, and other cross-functional teams. This position requires frequent communication with multiple teams, divisions, and vendor.

Essential Functions:
  • Partner with Director of Unique Merchandising on the curation of the total Carousel assortment across both digital and store channels (GMM and Integrated Marketing product) to help guide the strategy of future shops by identifying curator, designer, vendor partners and theme opportunities. Create plans to pitch future partners on concept.
  • Develop, communicate, and manage the OMNI marketing strategy for the Carousel @ Bloomingdale's, inclusive of: Homepages, Emails, Look Books, Paid/Traditional media, Organic Social Media, Curator Content Plans (video, editorial, GIFs, etc.), in-store visual, Affiliate/Search.
  • Lead 360-marketing campaign planning and present strategy to key stakeholders. Responsibilities include kick-off campaign to share concept, curator, deadlines and budgets, secure campaign placements and media buys. Partner with Director and Fashion Office to understand business/vendor priorities and ensure priorities are well represented in marketing plan and site experience. Create 360-deck outlining carousel concept/curator, merchandising strategies, branding, marketing messaging, events/activations and earned media strategy.
  • Oversee the turn in process for all campaigns and site.
  • Oversee feedback and approval process of marketing assets including sharing with Merchant organization, vendors, partners, guest curators.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to analyze marketing campaign KPI's and develop strategies based on performance
  • Manage Carousel Marketing budget and ensure projects are occurring within budget guidelines

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing
  • Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing, and talking
  • Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
