YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Junior Project Manager will play a key role in supporting management and execution of retail, wholesale, or corporate projects. The role will also partner with the Design and Store Planning departments from Milan Headquarters to ensure a level of transparency and collaboration throughout the entire store development process. Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
  • Develop and manage construction schedules
  • Manage and track project budgets
  • Work closely with Landlords and Tenant Coordinators to gather background drawings and all other necessary start up information
  • Review internally the proposed preliminary designs received from Milan Headquarters and issue comments
  • Act as a liaison with other departments to ensure IT and loss prevention requirements are incorporated into projects
  • Request and review bid proposals from consultants, contractors, and other vendors
  • Review construction documents and shop drawings; partner with manager to gain approval
  • Follow all code compliance and obtain appropriate permits from local authorities
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of owner supplied materials in conjunction with Milan Headquarters
  • Support the construction phase by organizing weekly meetings and regular site visits to ensure standards of quality and project deadlines are met
  • Develop and maintain a cost summary of each project to keep the project budget under control including review, approval and tracking of invoices
  • Create detailed punch lists and ensure any follow-up items are addressed
  • Collect all project closeout documentation

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 2-3 experience in project management of high-end, high-detail commercial projects.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects concurrently, as well as work independently and under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite (with a stronger emphasis on Photoshop), SAP
  • B.A./B.S. in Architecture, Interior Design/Architecture, Construction Administration preferred
