About the Role

Responsive Capabilities are a key focus area in our business, enabling our brands to be more nimble, quickly reacting to the everchanging business landscape to minimize risk and maximize opportunity. Responsive informs a range of high-impact, strategic, data-driven business decisions - from the design of a product to the size of an order to the speed in which we can get product in stores. The Responsive Team owns managing the capabilities by creating best in class operational processes and driving sustainability through continuous improvement. Our team works across the Gap Inc. portfolio of brands (Athleta, Banana Republic, Banana Republic Factory Stores, Gap, Gap Outlet, Old Navy).

Product Testing is a Responsive Capability that informs critical product decisions that directly impact our brands' bottom line. Testing Operations owns testing capability evolution, testing strategy, and end-to-end execution. We are seeking someone who can drive strategic relationships, thrives in a cross-functional working environment, can bring an analytical approach to solve business problems, and operates at the highest quality of executional excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Manage relationships with cross-functional brand partners, driving thought partnership on testing opportunities and strategies
  • Oversee successful end-to-end execution and analysis of tests, providing necessary guidance and mentorship to analyst team
  • Drive continuous improvement across capability and process evolution to ensure functional and operational excellence
  • Prepare and clearly present finalized brand results analyses to cross-functional brand partners to deliver data-driven recommendations for product strategies
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with multiple cross-functional teams to deliver results and continuously improve and drive our capabilities
    • Brand Partners : Own driving of brand engagement through regular connections and relationship building with SMEs and cross-functional partners
    • Advanced Analytics :
      • Serve as a thought partner to continuously develop and enhance capability methodologies, reporting, and processes
      • Partner with Advanced Analytics team to finalize capability results analyses - bringing a balance of analytical and business focused perspectives
      • Proactively identify and investigate issues and improvement opportunitieswithinour analytical tools, driving implementation of solutions
    • Product Management : Partner with product management and business intelligence to evolve and develop automated tools and dashboards, providing business insight into use cases, data relevance and data visualizations


Who You Are

  • Experience in product to market processes for apparel retail specifically merchandising, inventory management or other relevant experience
  • Consulting and strategy experience leading process and capability development
  • Experience facilitating and engaging with cross functional teams, developing and maintain effective business relationships, driving collaboration and leading transition and implementation work
  • Strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, clearly roadmap solutions considering business implications, and solve problems creatively
  • Strong experience with quantitative analysis and modeling, proven experience in understanding, challenging, and communicating complex analytical methodologies; embodying a clear ability to tell a story with data
  • Process driven leader with ability to develop and implement highly effective operations
  • Strong communication and presentation experience with presenting complex and detailed data-driven findings to cross-functional partners and leadership
  • Strong operational background and proven time management skills with an ability to succeed in ambiguous environments, delivering against tight and competing deadlines with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in leading/mentoring team members to work effectively
  • Advanced fluency in Excel and PowerPoint; SQL, PowerBI, Data Visualization experience a plus
