BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Copywriter will be responsible for delivering engaging global copy and brand content across all channels, covering editorial features, social media, e-commerce, newsletters, seasonal storytelling narratives, press releases, CRM initiatives and other marketing launches (organic and paid). Acting as a guardian of the brand's tone of voice, the person in this role will help define writing guidelines and maintain excellent standards for both internal and external teams to ensure clarity, consistency and attention to detail are retained at all times.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and deliver editorial copy across all channels, maintaining a strict publishing deadline.
  • Create clear ‘Tone of Voice' guidelines in line with our brand manifestos.
  • Developing all copy for marketing messaging, including newsletters, digital marketing, social media and website customer journeys.
  • Support the creative content team with early-stage campaign preparation (e.g. ideation).
  • Create seasonal digital copy for Zegna's high profile campaigns, working with our wider Zegna colleagues to ensure narrative alignment. E.g. PR.
  • Manage the copy creative process from briefs, brainstorms and copy creation, through to editing and proofreading of all copy to ensure consistency across all channels.
  • Overall copy project coordination - Responsible for managing creative copy flow ‘the gatekeeper and timekeeper' and ensuring all publishing tools, calendars and briefs are up to date, with meticulous attention to detail regarding copy.
  • Ensure all online copy is proofread and fully approved prior to the go live date, confirming all copy in the staging documents are all up to date and accurate.
  • Work closely with global Zegna offices in key markets to create tailored and localized marketing content.
  • Consult with the design and merchandising teams to ensure alignment on product narrative copy.
  • Ensure all copy online is SEO and SEM friendly, without compromising the brand tone of voice.

PRINCIPAL SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE
  • Luxury fashion background, preferrably with menswear experience
  • Work experience ideating, writing and managing copy across brand communication, especially e-commerce and digital marketing
  • Keen interest in social media and all things digital
  • Great organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload within a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Proactive attitude towards working collaboratively with direct and indirect team members
