The Team

Supply Value Chain department in PVH Europe focuses on the full network between company and its suppliers and customers. The Team drives strategic and operational processes that enables the business to ensure modern and compliant supply chain.

The Role

Senior Director Raw Materials -Knits, will be responsible for managing the overall process of new and seasonal Circular Knit Fabrics while balancing quality, cost and speed. Will manage the knit fabric supply chain that supports the overarching strategic vision. Collaborating with Fabric Mills, Raw Material Team, and Supply Chain Partners.

Implement and operationalize best-in-class Circular Knits Raw Material Sourcing strategy for PVH Europe
  • Balance capability, cost, speed, quality, sustainability in Circular knits Raw Materials aligned with the apparel strategy.
  • Develop strategic 3-to-5 year and seasonal Circ Knits raw material development plans, aligning these with internal stakeholders and company-wide goals.
  • Set and drive Knits RM strategy/L2 vendor matrix in collaboration with Knit Apparel cluster leads.
  • Set & drive Circ Knit RM R&D strategy to support shift of RM from commodity input to a true strategic differentiator for TH and CK brands.
  • Be aware of market trends, infusing them in strategy set-up and using them to identify mill/L2 vendor opportunities with RM managers on-shore.
  • Manage (together with topography team) Circ Knits fabric mills performance standards/KPIs and Vendor Scorecard to track performance.
  • Sponsor and coordinate sustainability initiatives, leveraging cross-functional teams and ensuring RM-wide sustainability standards are defined and upheld.
  • Manage Circ Knits Raw Materials budget, allocate budget across key initiatives and sub-teams, and set-up accountability processes.

2. Coordinate with wider internal stakeholders - e.g. PD/Merch/Design
  • Present single point of contact for strategic Circ. Knit RM initiatives.
  • Work on product/wider business objectives in Circ Knit RM Sourcing strategy & targets.
  • Promote the highest ethical standard in Circ Knit RM sourcing, instilling environmental and community sustainability considerations into sourcing decisions.

3. Drive Sourcing transformation and change
  • Ensure right future-ready capabilities are instilled in the team - works with HR and external providers to facilitate development of appropriate trainings.

4. People management responsibilities
  • Manage Circ Knit RM team, setting KPIs and monitoring progress against targets.
  • Recruit and develop RM management team to manage day-to-day operations and support strategy / goals.
  • Sets the right responsibilities, KPIs and targets to ensure accountability and cross-team collaboration.
  • Develops proper succession planning and career paths; ensure proper onboarding and training.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Strong Supplier and vendor "market knowledge" of circular knits Raw Materials & category
  • Bachelors Degree in Textiles, Fashion or supply chain management, MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in Circular Knits Raw Materials sourcing / manufacturing environment
  • At least 7 years of leadership experience in a Raw Material function
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Circular Knit Fabric , Yarn and Technical Materials
  • Clear understanding of Spinning, Knitting, dyeing, printing, and finishing techniques, processes, wastages etc.
  • Skilled communicator: ability to communicate and interface with multiple groups and individuals.
  • Experience of the end-to-end value process; ability to work with both product teams, sourcing teams and external vendors
