We're looking for an experienced content and product copy editor to own the Ecommerce Copy and Editorial function, building compelling merchandise narratives in partnership with the Director of Digital Merchandising. This person will be a lead strategist for and owner of delivering compelling storytelling befitting the digital flagship of our iconic brand.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and lead ecommerce content and copy strategy with cross functional partners to elevate overall product storytelling both on-site and in email
  • Manage new process for content strategy based on the changing needs of the business and shifts in the assortment by keeping a pulse on the consumer and the competition, and by regularly reviewing and modifying approach based on site and email engagement metrics
  • Strategize, create, and manage brand, collection and product stories that include region-specific introductions (refined from the global briefs) and education about our evolving brand story and product assortment
  • Partner with cross-functional team to manage the briefing of ecommerce business direction to marketing/creative studio team for creative development and final execution
  • Lead and direct a team of Copy Managers & Associates to set team goals and priorities, and to ensure timely deliverables for both content copy and PDP copy
  • Develop and maintain Tommy Hilfiger Ecommerce Copy Guide to ensure the evolution of the Brand voice is balanced with the ecommerce business direction; updated seasonally or on an as needed basis
  • Partner with Digital Merchandising Team on home page and email product stories, key marketing launches, seasonal updates of fit guides and bringing to life seasonally relevant trends and content stories on site and in email; relay information to Copy Team
  • Stay abreast of current consumer and competitive trends and adapt the Tommy voice according to what is relevant and on-brand
  • Work with team to manage technical messaging on usa.tommy.com to ensure clarity and ADA compliance, optimizing user experience and reducing onsite customer friction
  • Understanding of SEO and its impact on product and site copy; direct Copy team to translate SEO insights into actionable takeaways for product copy

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7-10 years experience in digital / eCommerce copy writing
  • Solid writing skills and an eye for detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of ecommerce and business-related KPIs
  • Experience working in a fast-paced/high-pressure environment
  • Project management skills must include an ability to organize, prioritize, and structure multiple projects simultaneously, reconcile incoming content and direction, and work as a partner across multiple teams and personalities
  • Able to handle multiple projects with adherence to deadlines and be highly organized
  • Able to work independently as well as on group projects and be self-motivated and confident with some decision making
  • Ability to manage up, down and across with positive results
  • Able to balance art and science - taking into account brand voice and messaging alongside ecommerce KPIs and performance metrics
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, premium fashion environment. Desire to innovate quickly as part of a nimble, entrepreneurial team within an iconic, established American brand
