Overview:

R eporting to the Merchandising Manager- Accessories in the Womenswear Merchandising team, the Junior Merchandiser will support the Global Merchandising team on strategic analysis and on the collection development. The ideal candidate must possess a strong market knowledge of collection Merchandising, competition and market trends.

Your Mission:
  • Strategic performance analysis weekly, monthly and yearly of all KPI's including sales, sell-through and best-sellers by collection, category and region.
  • Competitive Benchmarking: product segmentation, pricing and collection structure. Regular updates on competitor activity, in terms of product, influencers and social media.
  • Trend analysis: identify key product trends in all categories in high growth regions.
  • Seasonal reporting: analysis during and end of season.
  • Participate in the development of seasonal collection plans.
  • Participate in the preliminary report for the seasonal strategic plan.
  • Recommend actions following thorough collection analysis in-season and for future collection development.
  • Provide detailed analysis in markets and regional trends.
  • Pricing: Assist Merchandising team with seasonal pricing implementation to reach the target margin and provide competitive benchmarking.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop Seasonal manuals and training materials.
  • Prepare the merchandising presentations of the Collection and recommended Seasonal priorities for each category and each region for Creative, Marketing, Visual Merchandising and sales departments.
  • Preparation of the collection brief.
  • Co-ordinate with the showroom and all regions and production regarding collection updates during market.
  • Regular Analysis of showroom sales.
  • Consolidate Collection feedback from Wholesale and Retail.
  • Develop the end of showroom report (quantitative analysis and qualitative feedback).
  • Participate in the management of product portfolio analysis and strategic actions.
  • Plan and monitor the delivery schedule and liaise with visual display team, CID team and marketing team.
  • 20% travel across Europe locations.


Your Talent:
  • Experience in merchandising analysis at a worldwide or regional level for Women's collections across all product categories for a luxury fashion brand.
  • Excellent analytical skills coupled with strong product sensibility.
  • Previous experience with competitive benchmarking and trend analysis for luxury brands.
  • Team player who is also able to work independently on analysis.
  • Adaptable to change within fast-paced fashion environment.
  • Organised and high level of accuracy.
  • Accustomed to working with global and regional merchandising teams.


Systems and Essentials:
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Previous experience with software PLM, M3 and other analytical tools
  • Additional Language Italian preferred, but not necessary
