PVH Merchandising is responsible for the budgeting, range building and product trading strategy for the Region North business. In a constantly changing retail environment they look to drive the optimum assortment for each retail location, based upon: customer profile, sales targets and regional retail landscape.

Working closely with all key retail stakeholders (buying, retail operations, visual merchandising and store teams) collaboration, strong communication and a passion for opportunity and success are the foundations for this team!

Reporting into the Retail Director the Senior Merchandiser plays a true leadership role, developing and motivating the wider team whilst driving the merchandising strategy for the channel's commercial direction.

Responsibilities include:
  • Owning the store planning and trading strategy for all Netherlands Channels (O&O, Consignment & Outlet) with ownership of sales planning, margin and markdown.
  • Managing store budgets including sales, options counts and end stocks forecasts within a cross channel framework. Controlling Outlet budgets with a view on Full Price end stocks vs Outlet Special Purchase requirements.
  • Creating store profiles and accurate grading's for each season, in line with business strategies and agreed sales and space plans, to review these within season to ensure sales by division are maximized.
  • Managing and reporting on store sales densities proposing changes in line with wider business strategy.
  • Having a clear view on options by division in store to outline maximum stock capacities at store level, working with planners to ensure this feeds into future Buying Process.
  • Collaborating with Central Planning and Buying Teams, influencing product assortment in line with analysis. Highlighting under and over performing areas, making suggestions on stock package opportunities.
  • Delivering an Outlet Range Plan and product strategy. Working with the central Outlet team to develop and manage the special production ranges.
  • Owning the seasonal trading calendar strategy and be a key driver of the channel specific weekly trading meeting proposing trade actions to support company strategy.
  • Managing in-season trading decision's ensuring agreed targets for margin, sales and end- stock are met.
  • Ensuring the Retail Merchandising team are delivering a robust allocation strategy ensuring store ranges are optimized at all times.
  • Managing topline Netherlands end stock flow and seasonal storage.
  • Developing and owning all promotional activities and timings across NL, partnering with leadership team cross regionally.
  • Providing management with reporting and strategic proposals for investment to drive growth and maximize profitability
  • Training and developing all team members. Inspiring and leading the team to success.
  • Working with retail teams and other merchandise channels to manage terminal stock and exit plans.
