We are looking for a Legal Counsel, Retail to join our Legal Team. You will report directly to the Head of Legal, Commercial & IP. The main tasks of this position will be to support the Retail business team on all legal affairs at a worldwide level and to manage part of pre-litigation and litigation involving the Company worldwide, as well as remaining up-to-date on new legislations of interest to the Company.


    • Negotiate, draft and review contracts for HQ and subsidiaries at a worldwide level, with specific reference to: retail lease agreements, temporary rental contracts, lease amendments and related agreements (maintenance contracts, service contracts, procurements contracts, consultancy agreement), franchise agreements;
    • Advise on contract status, legal risks and legal liabilities associated with different deals, supporting the Retail Business Team on the overall activities;
    • Monitor deadlines and contractual obligations (lease's expiration or renewal, rent review or break clauses);
    • Provide support on new retail projects such as new opening and/or take-over of stores and prepare relevant material and documentation for project presentation and internal approval;
    • Help in design, build and improve retail processes and procedures also preparing templates and keeping updated records and files;
    • Management of pre-litigation in civil matters, also in coordination with external legal consultants;
    • Remain update on new legislation, both italian and international;
    • Handle counterparts and external consultants;
    • Coordinate with other resources of the Legal Office.


    • Law Degree;
    • 8+ years in a similar role in the Retail/Real Estate Department of international Consultancies, Companies or Law Firm;
    • Being a qualified lawyer is preferred;
    • Fluent in legal and business English written and spoken (this will be tested in the interview process);
    • Experience in drafting and leading negotiations on complex matters with a business mindset;
    • Ability to manage projects under tight timeframes.
